Commission Holds Discussions with Defense & Home Secretaries, 12 Jan 2005
In the course of intensifying the search for disappeared persons by the state, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) held discussions with the Home Secretary Bal Krishna Prasai and Defense Secretary Bishnu Dutta Upreti at the Commission today.
During the meeting, the two Secretaries were informed about the complaints received by the Commission regarding disappeared persons by the state. The Secretaries expressed their commitment to assist the Commission and provide information sought by the Commission in this regard.
NHRC Commissioners and officers were present in the meeting.
