Rescue

Due to the heavy rainfall recently flood waters which had caused an embankment in the Mahakali river to collapse and inundated several Wards. Security Forces deployed in the region have provided following rescue operations to the victims.

In the initiation of the Security Forces (SF) electricity that was cut off due to the flood is resumed in various parts of Dadeldhura and Doti districts.

The road sections of Dhangadi-Dadeldhura-Doti-Saphebagar, Dadeldhura-Baitadi, Baitadi-Bajhang and Budar-Joghbuda has been resumed that was stopped by the landslide.

Flood waters which had caused an embankment in the Mahakali river to collapse on September 26, 2005 Ward No. 2, 4, 5, 7 and 9 have been inundated. The SF has been deployed in the area to tie the embankment.

700 members of 106 families were provided with 106 tents, 82 blankets, various clothes, 106 sets of utensils, 859 Kg. of beaten rice, 1,220 Kg. of rice, and 3,105 Kg. of noodles at Chadani VDC of Kanchanpur district.
