Royal Nepalese Army Aviation Training Center Inaugurated

Chief of the Army Staff General Thapa inaugurated the Royal Nepalese Army Aviation Training Centre at Shree No. 11 Brigade area at the Tribhuvan International Airport on July 13, 2005. The training center was established to provide basic pilot training to the army staffs.

On the occasion, Thapa inspected library, practice room, classroom, training office, conference hall and technical library. In the first phase, six pilots will be trained at the center.

An aviation unit was established in the RNA in 2022 B.S. with Twin Pioneer airplanes. Since the establishment of the unit, it has been providing logistics services for supplying materials, operations, Para-training and rescue works.

With the establishment of the center, the RNA will produce the much-needed manpower for the aviation sector. The RNA has also planned to provide training for the civilians by coordinating with the Department of Civil Aviation.
