Maoist Atrocities
The Maoists set off a bomb at Tara Shumsher Rana’s house in Birgunj Sub-Metropolitan City of Parsa district on July 7, 2005. The blast partially damaged the house and injured Rana. He is undergoing treatment at Narayani sub-regional hospital.
In Humla, the terrorists looted Rs. 28,000 and Yarchagumba (herb) from the local herbal dealers on July 6, 2005. The terrorists have been extorting 35 per cent of their income from the Yarchagumba dealers.
The Maoists abducted Ramlal K.C. of Tulsipur Municipality in Dang on July 6, 2005. His whereabouts is still unknown.
