NOTICE OF THE PRESS SECRETARIAT OF HIS MAJESTY THE KING
His Majesty the King has, in accordance with the Constitution of the Kingdom of Nepal - 1990, accepted the resignation tendered by the Prime Minister Surya Bahadur Thapa, the present Council of Ministers is to keep on functioning until another Council of Minister is constituted. Similarly, His Majesty the King has started consultations for the appointment as Prime Minister of an individual with a clean image who can constitute a council of ministers bringing together all sides so as to maintain law and order and initiate the election to the House of Representatives by mid-April 2005, in line with the aspirations of the people.
