Child Sholdier used by terrorists
The Maoist terrorists have been abducting children from various parts of the country with to systematically train and induct them into their ranks and forcefully denying fundamental rights of chidren. In flagarent violation of international human rights norms a 14 year old Pasang Sherpa who managed to escape after being dissatisfied with the activities of the extremist such as extortions, murder and violence surrendered to the Security Forces in Taplejung on 22 September 2005.
Pasang was abducted by the terrorists on 12 February, 2005 from his house and forced to join the Maoist militia for almost 7 months. According to young Pasang, the Maoist routinely abused children mentally and physically.
