Peace Keeping Force Leaves for Burundi
The first team of the Third Contingent of the Gorakh Nath Battalion (Peace Keepers) left here for the Burundi (ONUB mission) for peacekeeping purposes at the call of the United Nations on September 2, 2005.
Major General Govinda Bahadur Gurung at the Tribhuvan International Airport saw off the team.
The team led by Lieutenant Colonel Jyotindra Khatri has a total of 214 personnel including 15 Officers, 39 Padiks and 160 of other ranks.
