Maoist Atrocities

Armed Maoist terrorists have reportedly looted Rs. 1,700,000 in cash, three computers, a .22 caliber gun and a metal detector from the branch office of the Nepal Credit and Commerce Bank situated at Barhabishe of Sindhupalchok district on August 14, 2005. The terrorists overpowered the security guards of the bank before carrying out the loot. The same group of the terrorists also rampaged the Agricultural Development Bank and torched important documents and furniture of the bank.

Meanwhile, the terrorists who have been committing heinous crimes against the innocent civilians displayed their true colours by setting a school on fire in Okhaldhunga district on August 13, 2005.

Similarly, a group of armed terrorists reportedly extorted 100 US dollars each from a group of 12 French tourists visiting Shey-Phoksundo of Dolpa district on August 12, 2005. The terrorists attacked the locals of Gogane area of Makwanpur district using khukuris, seriously injuring Bachchu Rimal in the process and also abducted Hare Ram Bista and Pushkar Karki on August 9, 2005.
