Rally organised to protest misleading news
A large number of local people brought out a protest rally on August 3 to protest the misleading news published by a daily from the capital saying that the security forces have established a base camp at a school in Martadi, the headquarters of Bajura district.
A large of number of people present in the protest programme said negative impact had been made to the morale of the security forces from the misleading news, and chanted slogans like ‘We need law and order’, ‘Down with the conspirators against the security forces’, and ‘Long live the Royal Nepalese Army’.
The locals said that the local journalist of the daily has also admitted that the news disseminated by him was distorted by the daily itself.
