A team of NHRC visited to Police Gan, Naxal and Police Academy, Maharajgunj
A team of National Human Rights Commission comprising Commissioners Sudip Pathak and
Dr. Ram Dayal Rakesh visited 1 No. Police Gan at Naxal and Police Academy at Maharjgunj and met with the detainees there.
The team took information about the situation of the detainees and the facilities which the administration was providing them. The team met with the former Prime Minister Dher Bahadur Deuwa at Police Academy Maharjgunj and Human Rights activist Krishna Pahadi and with Nepali Congress Leader Baldev Manjgaiya at 1 No. Police Gan Naxal.
Likewise, another team of the commission deployed for Gorkha district to monitor the human rights situation in Gorkha. The another team of the commission, yesterday visited the Nakkhu Jail in Lalitprur and sought information about the detainees as well as facilities they were receiving there.
