Press Statement
We would like to clarify the fact before the all masses of people and the press-medias about the military confrontation in Bhawang of Rolpa on 17 September that the propaganda of the so-called royal army of the old state is completely a deliberate and hoax. While an important programme of the People’s Liberation Army was going on at the very location, the so-called royal army had certainly attempted to attack over having cordoned the PLA. But, having conduced a forceful resistance against the enemy, the valiant fighters of the PLA have broken the so-called cordon and have been preparing to launch new attack. In that confrontation, 7 revolutionaries including a Company Commander woman comrade of the PLA have emulated martyrdom and 15 others have suffered injuries. On the enemy side, 5 personals had died at the spot and 2 died later. Minimum 25 suffered injuries. Against this reality, attempts have been made to by the so-called royal army to cover up its defeat and confuse the masses at the face of the Nepal bandha by making a false propaganda that 57 Maoists have been killed and hundreds others have suffered casualties. An attempt was made few days ago, to maintain moral of its soldiers, by making an opposite propaganda, while on a positional warfare in Korchawang of Rolpa itself, its army suffered a complete defeat and fallen defensive (in which confrontation PLA seized bullets numbering 13,000 of M-16 and 4000 of SLR including huge amount of logistic materials). If the enemy has really recovered 57 dead bodies, either, just as in the state of emergency, it has been massacring the revolutionaries detained under its custody, or it has been identifying its cowardly character by killing unarmed civilian. In this context, we urge to the pro-people press medias not to turn away of their responsibility having been swayed by the deliberate hoax perpetuated by the old state, from bringing the reality before the masses of the people. We make a humble appeal to all the intellectuals and human right organisations and institutions, also to bring the reality of Bhawang of Rolpa, just as of Doramba of Ramechhap district. Finally, we urge to all masses of people to advance in the great People’s War as always, by not falling on the fabricated hoaxes of the enemy. We would like to clarify here too that alike in the last year there is not a situation that it takes weeks to get reality before the masses. The People’s Liberation Army has made a qualitative development in the area of communication.
